Why did God let Stephen be martyred? It looks like he could have been a great asset to the church?
Is gambling wrong? They cast lots in the Bible. There is no scripture that specifically condemns it.
I Corinthians 11:10 says a woman should have a covering on her head “because of the angels.” What do the angels have to do with it?
We have been taught that the right spirit is everything. What is the right spirit? How can you tell when a person has the right spirit?
In Jeremiah 7:18 it talks about the Queen of Heaven. Who are they referring to?
II Peter 3:10 says that the heavens will pass away with a great noise and the elements will melt with fervent heat both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Then in Psalms 78:69 the scripture says the earth which He hath established forever. Is II Peter 3:10 to be understood as a literal fire that will burn up the heavens and the earth or is this symbolic language and to be understood as a spiritual fire?
Can you please explain the phrase “for therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith” in Romans 1:17? I’m having trouble with the word “faith” in this scripture. What type of faith is Paul referring to? I’m interested in the definition of faith because it seems that Paul is stating that the righteousness of God is revealed through it. I’ve heard this scripture explained that Paul is referring to the faith of the Old Testament and the New Testament. Is that correct? That explanation doesn’t seem to line up to me.
I have a question concerning the Sabbath. I have been in a prayer-filled fervent search for truth and believe in most of your positions. I am confused, however. As one who has obviously done detailed study of the scriptures – how is it that observance is Sunday on the Lord’s Day instead of Saturday the Sabbath. Could you please help clear this up for me, because it seems quite clear to me that Sunday is following the commandments/traditions of men and Saturday would be following the commandments of God.
