In this powerful sermon, Rev. Lloyd L.
Goodwin shows the distinction between temple worship and court
worship. Going through the 11th chapter of Revelation, he
contrasts those worshipping in the Temple which was a measured
place, with those worshipping in the outer courts which was not
measured. God's standard for worship was upheld in the Temple,
but those worshipping in the courts could worship God however they
felt like.
If it seems as though there was a
higher standard held for those worshipping in the Temple, then you
are right. However, those greater standards came with greater
benefits. The Holy Place was inside the Temple and not in the
Outer Courts. You couldn't enter into the Holy Place from the
Outer Courts, much less into the Holy of Holies.
